Riddle #8

This problem was composed by Karl Fabel in the year 1952 (White to move)
Task: White should make a move and it should not be a checkmate. That is, to be clearer, white is supposed to make a move in this given position that shoudn't checkmate the black king.

Riddle #9

This problem was composed by Karl Fabel in the year 1951 (White to move)
This one is a bit similar to the previous one, but with a twist.
White needs to end the game with NOT a checkmate. Which means that whatever white plays from the given position it should not be a checkmate to the black king.
Task: White needs to keep the game alive and going and terminate it only by a self-mate or a stalemate, but not a checkmate!
